Where as professional blades do not have a guard so multiple layers of dead skin can be taken off, these blades do have the guard to reduce the chance of cutting or damaging the skin. These are even great to use in between sessions for those who have it done regularly as they are one step down from actual medical blades and not the normal "razors" that are popular. We LOVE that these are foldable and sooo easy to travel with or have in a purse or bag (because lets be honest, we all know the best place to see facial hair is in the car while looking in the visor mirror) lol!
