Made of laurel wood (often used in guitar fretboards) and natural cotton fiber this chair is meant to live indoors or a covered porch.  Natural fibers will degrade if left unattended in the outside elements.  we left one outside as a test in Nicaragua and after about a year the cotton had begun to see some damaage- that was in direct near equator sun.
