The fabric is loomed from natural plant fibers and the yarn or threads may naturally contract when wet and machine dried. Therefore, organic cotton can shrink a little in typical heavy duty machine cycles, with toxic laundry detergents, fast spins and high temperature drying. Nonetheless, GOTS certified organic cotton clothing is not delicate. On the contrary it is quite resilient and will become soft after every wash and can be lovingly passed down for others to enjoy.
